This Privacy Policy applies to our website, our mobile/desktop applications, and related online services. It applies to information shared and/or collected in connection with RigAlma-School Management System. It does not apply to information collected offline unless expressly stated.

  • ERP (school) data: Depending on your contract with us, schools may input or sync student, guardian, staff, attendance, assessment, fee, transport, and communication records. We process this data under the school’s instructions as their service provider.
  • Log and device data: IP address, browser type, ISP, date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and click counts (see Log Files).
  • Cookies/identifiers: Preferences and session identifiers to operate and improve our services (see Cookies and Web Beacons).

Log Files

RigAlma-School Management System follows standard practices for log files when visitors and users access our services. Logged information includes IP addresses, browser type, ISP, date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and click counts. These are not linked to information that directly identifies a person. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the site, track usage, and gather aggregate demographics.

We do not serve third-party ads inside the ERP apps. Region-Specific Rights

India (DPDP Act, 2023)

Data Principals (individuals) have the right to:

  • Access a readily available grievance redressal mechanism regarding our handling of personal data;
  • Request correction, completion, updating, or erasure of personal data, subject to legal/business necessity;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

European Union / EEA (GDPR)

If GDPR applies to you, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

California consumers may request disclosure, deletion, correction (where applicable), and opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We will respond within the statutory timeframe.

Controller vs. Processor: For ERP data provided by schools, we usually act as a service provider/processor on behalf of the school (the “controller”). For our own site analytics, support, and account records, we act as a controller.

Grievance Officer (India)

For user complaints under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we will acknowledge within 24 hours and dispose of within 15 days. If we operate any e-commerce consumer interface, consumer complaints will be acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 1 month.

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide services, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, or as otherwise instructed by our customers (schools).

Children’s Information

We encourage parents/guardians to monitor children’s online activity.

India: Under the DPDP Act, a “child” is under 18 years. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children without appropriate consent (e.g., from parents/guardians or the school, as applicable). If you believe a child has provided personal data to us improperly, please contact us so we can act promptly.

Other regions: If local law sets a different age threshold (e.g., 13 in some jurisdictions), we apply the higher protection required by applicable law.

Platform-Specific Disclosures (iOS/Android)

  • iOS (ATT): If our apps track users across apps/sites for advertising or measurement, we will request permission via App Tracking Transparency and proceed only if consent is granted.
  • Privacy manifests / Required Reason APIs (iOS): Our apps and any third-party SDKs we include will declare required reasons where applicable and limit use to the declared purpose.
